A QC physician and Pleasant Valley School Board member has announced his intention to run for office.
Nikhil Wagle has announced he is running for Iowa Senate District 47 in Scott County. Senator Scott Webster currently represents the district, which includes Bettendorf, Davenport, Edridge and LeClaire.
“I’m running for the Iowa Senate to put Iowans first by investing in the things that matter most to our state: strong public schools, accessible healthcare, reliable infrastructure, and a growing economy that benefits everyone,” Wagle said. “I have witnessed firsthand how these investments can transform lives, and I am committed to advocating for them to make our state a better place to live and raise a family.”
Wagle has lived in Bettendorf for 26 years and is an advocate for both a strong public education system and increased access to healthcare for all Iowans. He and his wife, also a physician, have been married for 30 years and have two sons.
