53rd Widening Project Stage 2 (City of Bettendorf)

The project is being done in three stages.

During the second stage, work will move slightly west and the south lanes of 53rd Avenue will be widened from Slate Creek Drive to the access drive to The Summit of Bettendorf. This stage is expected to last approximately six weeks, weather permitting. To ensure the safety of the traveling public and the construction workers onsite, traffic on 53rd Avenue will be reduced to a single lane in each direction to maintain two-way traffic from Devils Glen Road to Middle Road for the duration of the project. However, large trucks, buses, and semitractor trailers will be detoured to Tanglefoot Lane during this time.
