Families in Muscatine and surrounding areas can receive free health screenings before the start of the school year.
Trinity Muscatine Public Health is inviting area families to the Fourth Annual Back to School Health Clinic on Thursday, August 7, from 12 – 6:30 p.m. at McKinley Elementary School, 621 Kindler Avenue in Muscatine. The clinic is hosted by local health and community organizations and offers a wide variety of services to help kids kick off the new school year.
Available services include:
• Dental Screenings
• Topical Fluoride Application
• Vision Screenings
• Lead Testing
• Developmental Screenings (ages 0 to 5)
Staff will be available to answer questions about immunizations, insurance and other needs. Several community partners will also be present, offering information about local programming and support services.
“We’re excited to host this event for the fourth year in a row,” said Kate Arndt, Community Resource Specialist at Trinity Muscatine Public Health. “It’s a great opportunity for families to access critical health services in one place before the school year begins.”
