A bicyclist was seriously injured Wednesday night after his vehicle collided with a motor vehicle on a Perry side street.
The collision happened about 9 p.m. in the 2200 block of Warford Street in circumstances under investigation at this hour.
The bicyclist is being transported at this hour to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines by the Dallas County EMS.
Investigators could be seen inspecting the bicycle where it lay on the north side of the street. A large crowd of onlookers quickly gathered following the crash.
The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded.
