Senior Katie Dinnebier, graduate of Waukee High, and the Drake Bulldogs have started February with an impressive 6-game winning streak.
Katie Dinnebier currently leads the country in total assists and assists per game with 7.6. While that feat is quite impressive on its own, she also leads her team in scoring, at 20.8 points/game (2nd in MVC Conference) on 49.6% FG percentage (and nearly 40% from 3). She’s also recording an 2.6 steals per game, proving her skills as a two-way threat.
Drake’s current win streak stretches back to January 26th, and their 17-8 record puts them on track for a potential tournament bid if they stay the course.
Their next game is Thursday, February 20th, against In-Conference foe, Southern Illinois, at 6 PM (watch on ESPN+).
