Governor Kim Reynolds introduced a bill intended to add more doctors and improve rural healthcare access.
The Iowa bill would create 115 new medical residency spots each year for the next four years and overhaul existing student loan repayment systems for medical students.
Another part of the proposal would unbundle Medicaid maternal rates in the state and invest $642,000 for maternal health care reimbursements.
