SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Art students at Morningside Elementary School will soon have new activities to look forward to thanks to their teacher Jennifer Miller.
Miller received a 2025 Adopt a Classroom award from Levo Credit Union. She was nominated by a parent for her personalized work with students in the classroom.
Miller, who said she was “shocked” to be recognized, says she plans to spend her $500 award with her students.
“I am going to buy some more art supplies,” she said. “I’m not exactly sure, but I’m thinking about a classroom loom. A giant loom the kids can work on. I’ve always wanted one. But I haven’t decided yet, but it will be something for the kids.”
Levo Credit Union opened its first building in Sioux City this month after purchasing the former Heritage Bank branch.
