As expected, the drought has dramatically increased around the Midwest with this week’s update.
All of the Quad Cities is now classified as “Moderate Drought” as we’ve only had about half an inch of rain over the last 6 weeks!
Things have been getting worse for weeks and this is the first update that places the QC in moderate drought.
Without much rain in the forecast, parts of the area could be even worse with next Thursday’s update.
Certain parts of our area now have Burn Bans in effect.
