The Iowa Department of Transportation denied the use of 19 Quad Cities area traffic cameras on Monday.
Cameras in Buffalo, Davenport, Muscatine and Le Claire were among those that are scheduled to be deactivated Tuesday.
A new state law required that cities and towns request permits for the cameras and await approval by the DOT.
Only 11 traffic cameras will remain in Iowa, including four in Davenport and one in Le Claire.
