The federal government is restarting a program to mail free COVID tests to people who want them.
U.S. households will be eligible to order 4 free COVID-19 tests through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services at the end of September here. The tests will detect current COVID-19 variants and can be used through the end of the year.
