Andrew Wold enters plea in 2023 OWI case

One of Andrew Wold’s legal challenges has ended after he entered a plea in his 2023 DUI case.

Andrew Wold (Scott County Jail)

According to court documents, Wold pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of operating while under the influence, first offense. The state dismissed a related speeding charge (54 mph in a 30 mph zone). He was sentenced to 120 days in the Scott County Jail, with all but two days suspended. He must pay the mandatory minimum fine of $1,250 but is eligible for a waiver of $625 of the fine, pursuant to Iowa Code 321J.2(3)(c). He must also complete a substance abuse evaluation and complete the Iowa Course for Drinking Drivers. He was not eligible for a deferred judgement because he refused a chemical test and had deferred judgements granted twice before.
