There’s only one way to get the bad taste of a Cy-Hawk loss out of Iowa’s mouth — it’s to a win. The Hawkeyes have 0-2 Troy coming to town this Saturday in what looks to be a bounce back game for the black and gold.
As always, the Hawkeyes will not overlook any opponent — but the opportunity to get back on the right foot has them excited for Saturday.
“Troy’s undefeated but they have Notre Dame ties, and West Virginia ties,” Hawkeyes safety Koen Entringer said. “I’m pretty sure they won their conference last year and they’ve got a team full of great players. NIU beat Notre Dame last week, so in college football any team is going to be ready to play.
“I think we’re going to play them hard and they’re going to come ready to play, so it’s a great opportunity to bounce back and get a head of steam going into Minnesota.”
“They’re a good team,” tight end Addison Ostrenga said. “They don’t have a ton of film just because it’s new coaches. Their defense is pretty similar to Illinois State so we have a game plan, we’re ready to go against them.
