There’s a lot more to Floatzilla than just trying to set a world record.
Registration is open for the two day event on August 16 and 17. Participants from out of town can find special pricing at area hotels for the event here. Don’t have a kayak? No problem! Click here for vendors who will be renting at Floatzilla 2024.
The weekend is packed with events, including:
Kayak Fishing Tournament: August 16 The tournament will take place on Friday, August 16 from 6-8 p.m. The check-in for the tournament is 5-6 p.m. All ages are welcome, admission is free and prizes will be awarded.
Camping: August 16 & 17
River Action and the City of Davenport are offering camping on Credit Island, featuring a disc golf course, and at Lindsay Park near the Lindsay Park Yacht Club launch site. Camping is by tents only and no open fires are allowed. The fee is $12 per tent.
Packet Pickup: August 16
Packets can be picked up on Friday, August 16 from 4-8 p.m. at Credit Island Lodge, 2200 W. River Drive in Davenport. Packets can be picked up on Saturday, August 17 at all launch sites.
Outdoor Expo: August 16
An Outdoor Expo and Kayak/Canoe Swap will be offered during packet pickup on August 16 at Credit Island Lodge. Participants can learn about outdoor recreation, adventure gear, environmental conservation and more. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will perform free boat safety checks for all paddlers.
Rock Island Beach: August 17
This popular breaking spot between the Centennial Bridge and Crescent Rail Bridge on the Illinois side will have restrooms, water and beach balls for paddlers.
Live Music: August 17
The Dani Lyn Howe Band will play at Lake Potter on Saturday, August 17, from 10-3 p.m.

A photo of the kayakers will be taken from atop the Hampton Crane and drone at 1:30 p.m. Everyone should squeeze in to be in the picture as they attempt to break the world record of 3,150!
Shuttles back to launch sites are from 2 – 4:30 p.m. on August 17, after the photo.
