Two people, whose names were not released pending family notification, were injured about 5 a.m. Thursday at Highway 67 and 7th Avenue, Camanche, according to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol.
A 2008 BMW was headed north on Highway 67 approaching the roundabout with 7th Avenue and a 2007 Toyota Camry was in the roundabout heading toward the Camanche/7th Avenue exit.
The cars “collided in a broadside manner” causing the BMW to roll several times before coming to rest north of the roundabout, the report says.
MedForce airlifted one person to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and the other person was transported to Mercy Hospital by Camanche EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
