A Storm Lake woman was charged with a felony after she was caught operating under the influence for the third time following a traffic stop this past weekend.
According to the Storm Lake Police Department, at approximately 10:25pm Saturday, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor violation in the area of East 7th Street and Lake Avenue. Police allege the driver, 35-year-old Gabriela Rivera-Valdovinos, showed signs of alcohol impairment.
After further testing was conducted at the Buena Vista County Jail, Rivera-Valdovinos was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 3rd Offense, a class D felony. Rivera-Valdovinos was booked into the BV County Jail on a five thousand dollar bond.
