Siouxlanders play with kittens while doing yoga

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Almost two dozen Siouxlanders had a “purr-fect” day on Sunday doing yoga with some furry friends.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue brought out nine kittens to The Yoga College in downtown Sioux City. While 19 people attempted some yoga exercises, many found themselves cuddling and playing with their feline partners.

The event not only raised money for Noah’s Hope but also encourages folks to adopt a kitten.

“This is popular. This sells out every time. This morning I sold my last two spots, but typically we don’t have a problem selling out for this. People love to come and do a little yoga and play with the kittens, and it’s just fun,” said Heather Tolvanen, Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue volunteer.

Six of the nine kittens were named after types of cheeses and can be adopted by reaching out to the organization.
