SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Board of Education for the Sioux City Community School District is seeking community volunteers to join its Educational Equity Committee and School Improvement Advisory Committee.
According to a release, the Educational Equity Committee (EEC) is to ensure equal opportunity for students and staff to access educational programs and employment. The EEC also supports and advises the District on the coordination and development of policies, programs, resources, and methods that increase maximum achievement for students in a multicultural, gender-fair environment.
The School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) is a committee where the community, students, parents, and school staff can work together to identify and recommend solutions to problems facing the district’s school system.
