Mark was born Dec. 19, 1956, to Kenneth and Mary Jane (Hudgins) Hilpipre in Clarion, Iowa.

He was raised and lived in the Minburn area his entire life.

Mark worked for some years at the Minburn Co-Op. He was employed at Pioneer Hi-Bred International as a fabricator in Johnston from 1988 to 1997. Prior to retiring in 2018, he was employed by the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department.

He enjoyed helping on the family farm in the spring and fall following his retirement.

Mark married Jodi Renshaw on May 23, 1992, in Minburn. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Trips to the Lake of the Ozarks, the Mississippi houseboat excursions and four-wheel trail riding in South Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota were always memorable.
