DES MOINES, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Iowa Utilities Commission has approved public meeting dates for Summit Carbon Solutions to provide information about their proposed CO2 pipelines to residents.

There will be seven public meeting in northwest Iowa. On Sept. 17, there will be two meetings. The first will be at noon at Iowa Lakes Community College Emmetsburg, while the second will be at 6 p.m. at the Occasions event venue in Spencer.

The next day, on Sept. 18, two more informational meetings will be held. The first is at the American Legion Community Building in Melvin at noon. Later, a meeting will be held at Primghar Community College at 6 p.m.

On Sept. 19, a meeting will take place at noon over at Prairie Winds Event Center in Orange City. Later on, another meeting will occur at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Holstein at 6 p.m. in Holstein.

Finally, on Sept. 20, a meeting will take place at the Cobblestone Ballroom in Lakeside at noon.

Two weeks ago, the commission approved Summit Carbon Solutions’ permit application. The pipeline in Iowa is expected to be about 340 miles long and will connect to 30 ethanol plants.
