MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa — Two kayakers were rescued from the Iowa River in Marshall County Sunday afternoon.
The Marshall County Fire Department responded to the Three Bridges Park on a report of two kayakers who needed to be rescued from the Iowa River.
Firefighters on a Polaris Ranger found one of the kayakers in a wooded area just north of the river, the fire department said. The second kayaker was found along the shore of the river and was rescued by firefighters using a rescue boat.
Both kayakers were evaluated by UnityPoint EMS on scene, but only one of the kayakers was transported to a nearby hospital. The kayaker’s condition is not known at this time.
