2024 Iowa Senate Republican Candidate Doug Campbell declares his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Senate District 30, a position abruptly made open on Monday by Senator Waylon Brown’s sudden resignation.

In a social media post, Campbell stated, “Although Waylon Brown’s resignation was unexpected, I am honored and humbled to step up as your Republican nominee for Iowa Senate District 30.”

“I believe I have earned this opportunity through dedication, hard work, and a deep commitment to our community. I am ready to be a strong candidate and a relentless advocate for our district.”

Campbell continued, “I will make sure to represent the original intent of the Constitution and listen to you, fight for our Iowa values, and ensure our voices are heard. I am committed to working tirelessly for each and every one of you, focusing on the issues that matter most to us all. I will uphold your property rights, ensure our education system is strong and effective, and work to create a brighter future for all of us.”

“Together, we can make a real difference. We will put unity back in your government. Thank you for your trust and support. Stay tuned and stay in touch!”

Campbell’s statement summarizes his readiness to step up to the position and win in November. Campbell believes now is the time to unite behind his candidacy and look toward the general election.

The Campbell campaign also expects a number of current Iowa legislators to get behind his candidacy, and those names will be announced soon.
