The Buena Vista County Extension Office will be hosting a farmland leasing meeting next month.

The meeting on Tuesday, August 6th will begin at 9am at the BV Extension Office at 701 Seneca Street in Storm Lake. The meeting will last approximately two-and-a-half hours, and will be facilitated by Alexis Stevens, who is an ISU Extension and Outreach farm and agriculture business management specialist.

The discussion will focus on various methods to determine a fair 2024 cash rental rate, and the importance of good tenant/landlord communications. There will be an emphasis on recent returns to Iowa Cash Rented Land and the 2024 Iowa Cash Rental Rate Survey.
