A Grimes woman was arrested early Sunday after allegedly assaulting a Dallas Center man in the home.
Lacey Marie Ray, 40, of 808 S.E. Polk St., Grimes, was charged with assault.
The incident began about 12:15 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 800 block of Fairview Drive in Dallas Center, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that Ray allegedly “hit him on the left side of his face” during the course of a domestic dispute, “causing his glasses to come off,” according to court records.
The deputies observed on the victim “some slight redness,” according to court records.
Ray was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 172 in Dallas County District Court.
Ray was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault in 2021 in Dallas County District Court.
