Street closures for the Iowa City Jazz Festival start at 6 a.m. on Friday morning. Clinton Street from Jefferson to Washington will be closed to traffic, as will Iowa Avenue from Clinton to Dubuque Street. It’s expected that those streets will reopen late Sunday night.
Dubuque Street will remain open to traffic — at least to the extent it currently is with the ongoing construction — but on-street parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. on Friday until late Sunday night.
Bus service will also change because of Jazz Fest, with the bus hub temporarily moving from Washington and Clinton to Court Street between Clinton and Dubuque on Friday and Saturday. Buses will be rerouted around the closed streets, and stops along the closed sections will be out of service.
Normal bus service will resume on Monday morning. Iowa City Transit does not provide bus service on Sundays.
Music at the festival starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. The final band takes the stage at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
