A Bouton woman was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly assaulting a Bouton man in a room at the Red Carpet Motel.
Alexis Gabrielle Taney, 22, of 22980 141st Dr., Bouton, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 22900 block of 141st Drive, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that Taney allegedly “punched, kicked and slapped” him, according to court records.
Deputies observed on the victim “several red marks on his stomach and chest,” according to court records.
Taney is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 case or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 12 in Dallas County District Court.
