Two Storm Lake residents were arrested on drug-related charges earlier this week, and one of them was wanted on several warrants out of Woodbury County.

On Monday evening of this week, Storm Lake Police were attempting to make contact with a wanted individual at 15-hundred North Seneca Street, and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the apartment. During the execution of a search warrant, police located approximately 40 grams of THC edibles, along with several miscellaneous items and drug paraphernalia used to smoke methamphetamine and marijuana.

35-year-old Christian Quintero was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Quintero was also held on two valid Woodbury County warrants for Absence From Custody, a serious misdemeanor bond of one-thousand dollars, along with a Felony Mittimus warrant requiring him to serve ten years in prison.

29-year-old Janet Salcido was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a serious misdemeanor, and was booked into the BV County Jail on a one-thousand dollar bond.
