SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — With the American Red Cross fully moving its shelter into the Sacred Heart Church, there will be different accommodations for people.

Some of the resources the shelter will provide include showers, food, a place to sleep, and a comfort case that includes soap, shampoo, lotion, tissues and more.

“We’re looking at the emergency needs of families,” Peter Teahen with the American Red Cross said. “FEMA will come in, the state will come in and take care of the long-term needs. We’re kind of at the beginning of the process to help them get to the point where they can get additional assistance from the government.”
