SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — With the Siouxland Recovery Fund activating donations, things are already off to a good start.
Ag Processing Inc. (AGP) of Omaha donated a check worth $50,000. AGP was proud to contribute to farmers and the community to help after recent damages due to the floods.
“The terrible floods that have happened here in the recent days has affected certainly the farmers in the area and certainly the communities where we operate our facilities, where our employees work,” Wayne Johnson with AGP said. “We just feel that it’s our place to give back to the community and to be able to help with these recovery efforts.”
The goal behind this fund is to help those in need of financial resources help meet short, intermediate, or long-term needs as recovery efforts are underway in Siouxland. The fund will help support organizations and nonprofits that are offering their assistance or aiding people with flood recovery.
