SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — UPDATE (6/25/2024 @ 7:50 a.m.): As of Tuesday morning, there are many residents in Siouxland without power.

According to the MidAmerican Energy Outage map, there are more than 1,000 customers in Siouxland without power.

1,128 of the customers are reported to live in the area near Rodney which was evacuated earlier this morning.

Additionally, more than 100 customers in the Correctionville area are still without power.

UPDATE (6/24/2024 @ 9:55 a.m.): MidAmerican is now estimating that there are 982 customers in their Sioux City region without power. Many of these new outages are being reported in the area of Correctionville.

Additionally, power outages in the Storm Lake area are beginning to be reported as well. Currently, more than 120 customers are reported that they have no power but this number may increase.

PREVIOUS: Some residents in Sioux City and the surrounding area are currently without power.

According to the MidAmerican Energy outage map, there are currently more than 440 customers without power in the area.

The map shows that most of these are in North Sioux City and Union County, with some being in Sioux City.

Due to the outages being the result of flooding, power may take some time to restore but MidAmerican shows that they have crews working to restore power to those without it.
