SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — As flooding continues to affect Siouxland, LifeServe Blood Center has been feeling the impact on its blood supply.

Due to the decrease of donations, LifeServe Blood Center has been reminding people to come in and donate for those in need of blood.

“We are seeing a really big decrease of donors coming in as well as more of an increase of traumatic events that are currently happening, and hospitals are going to need a little bit more blood supply,” Rebekah Armstrong with LifeServe Blood Center said. “And now we are seeing the impact of the flooding that is going on and that is also increasing the need for blood.”
