SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — (6/22/2024 @1:31 P.M.): Sioux City Fire Rescue continued to help Siouxland communities with flooding.
The department posted on social media Sunday morning saying that after assisting in Rock Valley, they made their way to Hawarden Saturday.
They used an amphibious vehicle to rescue people in rising waters.
The crew returned to Sioux City late Saturday night, the department said.

PREVIOUS (6/22/2024): Members of Sioux City Fire Rescue are working to help evacuate the town of Rock Valley Saturday.
The Sioux City Fire Rescue said that 13 team members of the Urban Search and rescue team deployed to Rock Valley early Saturday with multiple boats.
The department said that they have so far rescued many people and animals stranded in floodwaters.
Team members will continue until the “mission is complete,” SCFR said.
