Flooding in Correctionville shuts down Highway 31, 160th Street

WOODBURY COUNTY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Highway 31 and 160th Street are currently shutdown due to flooding in Correctionville.

According to Woodbury County Emergency Management, The Little Sioux River started to flood in Correctionville early Sunday morning. This flooding led to significant water coverage on Highway 31 and 160th Street, resulting in the Iowa Department of Transportation shutting them down.

Woodbury County Emergency Management said there is also significant flooding in Copeland Park.

Officials are reminding people that you should not drive in flooded areas and say, “Turn around, don’t drown.”
