In April, staff and volunteers from the Long Lines Climbing, Siouxland District Health Department Miracle League of Sioux City, Camp High Hopes, and Siouxland Adaptive Sports participated in a two-day training Adaptive Climbing course with Paradox Sports.

The SDHD’s All Abilities Health & Wellness Coalition initiated the adaptive climbing. The Coalition aims to create a healthy inclusive community designed to include people with
disabilities by reducing barriers, increasing accessibility, and creating more physical activity
opportunities for people with disabilities.
