SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Iowa Media Wire 9 volunteered at the Siouxland Soup Kitchen for Nexstar’s Founder’s Day of Caring on Friday.
Throughout June, we have been Iowa Media Wire 9 staff members have been collecting donations to bring to the Siouxland Soup Kitchen as part of our Founder’s Day of Caring initiative.
In addition to donating food, supplies, and money, some Iowa Media Wire 9 team members have chosen to donate their time by helping cook, serve, and clean up at the Soup Kitchen.
While we were at the Soup Kitchen, they told us that this is one of the largest donations they’ve received.
Each station participating in Founder’s Day of Caring is also given the privilege to make a donation to a local cause. This year, our donation was presented to the Siouxland Soup Kitchen.
