SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Kids interested in aviation got some hands-on experience Thursday.

The Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation is holding two separate two-day summer camps for kids. This is the second year of the camp, with 21 kids each day. Kids are able to learn about aviation and explore their interests.

“I sit in the right seat and one of the kids will sit in the pilot seat and they are able to manipulate the controls and everything,” museum board member Scott Taylor said. “There’s a dual control in airplanes so they can manipulate the controls and run radio and such.”
