Man allegedly threatened to blow up Spirit Lake convenience store

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — A man has been charged with terrorism after allegedly threatening to blow up a convenience store in Spirit Lake.

Darin Naatjes, 43, of Sioux Falls was charged with terrorism, a class B felony, on Saturday, June 8. He is being held in the Dickinson County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

According to a criminal complaint, the incident took place at Vick’s Corner World on Friday, June 7 at about 7:53 p.m. Daatjes allegedly “threatened to shoot and kill multiple people” and “blow up the building.”
