SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Siouxlanders started the beginning of June with warm weather and the first Food Truck Friday.
The ninth season of Food Truck Fridays is back at Pearl Street Park. This year, many Siouxlanders came out to enjoy foods from around the globe. One food vendor said that they had around 100 people order from them.
One attendee said that this is his first time attending Food Truck Fridays, and his experience was positive.
“We are having a good time,” Christopher Chariscopher said. “I’ve seen a lot of people around, I’ve seen a lot of different food trucks, and it is very marvelous, I have not seen that before.”
Vendor Issac Ponce said that this is the first year that they opened and set up their food truck for business in Pearl Street Park, and so far, they have seen many customers coming in.
“This is our first Food Truck Friday, and it definitely won’t be our last,” Ponce said. “We had a lot of fun today, it was a different rush.”
Technical project manager and attendee of the event Holly Bahr said that this has been an amazing experience.
“I came to visit family, so my parents still live here, and we were just looking for something that would be fun and interesting and have a lot of variety for our different families to choose from,” Bahr said.
Food Truck Fridays are from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until August 30.
