SIOUX CITY, (Iowa) – A Sioux City man was arrested and charged after multiple burglaries during the Memorial Day weekend.

According to a press release from the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, on May 27 several burglaries occurred in Sloan.

Due to the number of burglary scenes, additional patrol deputies and detectives were called in to investigate these crime scenes. The Sheriff’s Office also asked the public to help with any information leading towards the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office eventually arrested Michael Lindgren, 49, in connection to these burglaries on June 4, according to the release.

Court documents allege that in the Sloan Tap, Lindgren intentionally caused damage and destruction of property by breaking out the west window to the front of the business and destroying a neon light by throwing a brick through the window. He also then destroyed an interior door and door frame to the basement by kicking it. The damages done are estimated to be $1,000.
