Saturday starts early with the gates opening at 10 a.m. There will be art and commercial vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, inflatables, and more. Vehicle enthusiasts will be able to catch a classic car show by Old Iron Car Company. Meanwhile, guests will be able to watch teams compete and turn in the perfect cuts of chicken, ribs, Boston butt, and brisket.

“While the meat from the BBQ cook teams is not available to the general public to purchase or try, we are excited to have a great variety of food trucks and food vendors to help curve those BBQ and other cravings,” Event Services Director Stacey Meyer said. “We are excited to have Clay County Fair Concessions, Chad Bressman’s Lemonade Stand, Spencer Hy-Noon Kiwanis Cookie Bucket, Spencer Jaycees, Spencer Women of Today, and Spencer YMCA as food vendors for our event.”

The release noted that the hosts would like to extend gratitude to the sponsors who helped make these events and activities possible, including Century Farms, City of Spencer, Community State Bank, Farmers Trust and Savings Bank, JCL Solutions, Neiderheiser Insurance Agency Inc., Northwest Bank, Hy-Vee, Iowa Pork Producers, and the Iowa Project.
