Finn graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1980 and a D.D.S. degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1984. He practiced for six years in Iowa Falls before moving to Perry, and he plans to stay in Perry in retirement.

“Kris and I will remain in Perry and do some travelling and chase grandkids,” he said.

The open house will also be a welcome-to-Perry party for Lake City native Dr. David Schrad, who is joining Finn’s practice, which was sold to Summit Dental of Ankent in 2023.

Schrad attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he received his D.D.S. in 1996. He practiced in various Nebraska cities before opening City View Dental in Omaha since 2016.

Since 2014 Schrad has also been a consultant with PARAGON Dental Practice Transitions, a company that assists dentists in buying, selling or merging dental practices.

“Dr. Schrad brings 20 plus years of experience and lots of advanced training,” Finn said. “He will serve our patients well.”
