SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — Music, food and fun will be on offer on the Morningside University campus later this month.
“Summer Vibes at Morningside” will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, the university announced Tuesday. Located at the Hilker Campus Mall, this new event is free and open to people of all ages.
Local cover band Above the Covers will be performing on the Buhler Outdoor Performing Arts Stage starting at 7 p.m. According to a release, the band “plays popular songs from the 1980s to today and includes two Morningside alumni among its members.”
A variety of food truck options near the stage will also be available, including Kai Thai, Corndog Company, and Big Papa’s Grub on the Run. There will also be a bounce house and foam party for the kids.
The university is inviting all community members and alumni to come out and enjoy the evening.
