Kids Fest returns to Storm Lake this coming weekend.
The event is being held this year in Chautauqua Park from noon to 3pm on Sunday, June 9th. Planned attractions include a foam party, dunk tank, bouncy horse races, duck pond, games, crafts, face painting with Witter Gallery, and balloon art with Professor Von Air. There will also be magic shows at 12:30 and 2pm, and performers from the Drishti School of Dance.
The Storm Lake Fire Department safety education house will be on site for children to explore. The Storm Lake Police Department will be on hand, and its YumVee vehicle will be there loaded with treats. A fire truck, BVRMC ambulance, police vehicles, a snowplow, and other city equipment will be there for children to see close-up.
Those who attend Kids Fest can also pick up a King’s Pointe wristband for free admission to the waterpark after the festival that day for children 11 and under. The waterpark will be open until 7pm on Sunday.
There will also be a special Storm Lake Municipal Band performance Sunday starting at 3pm.
