DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updated information about the potential for multiple chances for severe storms and heavy rainfall today. Primary threats are damaging wind gusts and localized flash flooding, but large hail is also possible this afternoon. Conditional tornado threat late tonight.
Expectations are for storms to be located in northwest into north central Iowa later this afternoon and tonight. By late Sunday night or early Monday, storms are expected to from western to central Iowa.
