SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — An Akron man will be spending several decades in prison after being convicted of meth conspiracy for a second time.  

According to a release, in December of 2023, a jury found Britt Lander, 42, guilty of conspiring to distribute more than 50 grams of pure methamphetamine. On May 30, he was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment.  

The release states that evidence at the trial showed that Lander was one of many to conspire to receive at least 88 pounds of methamphetamine by mail and vehicle transport from California and Mexico. The drugs were intended to be distributed around the Sioux City and Akron areas.

The release added that evidence further showed that Lander helped to unload anywhere from 5 to 15 pounds of methamphetamine. Video footage showed he also helped use tools to cut into a spare tire and remove 7 kilograms that had been transported from Mexico.  

The release noted that Landrew was previously convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in 2012. For the most recent conviction, Lander will also be required to serve a 10-year term of supervised release after serving his 30-year sentence.
