Health Survey

MercyOne Newton Medical Center, Jasper County Health Department, and numerous community partners have collaborated to launch the 2025-2028 Jasper County Community Health Assessment. This is an effort to gather information into the health needs and priorities within Jasper County from health and human service providers, along with community leaders and the public. The process will take several months.

MercyOne Newton Medical Center Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator Stephanie Alexander and Jasper County Health Department Administrator Director Becky Pryor say the Community Health Assessment survey seeks to engage community members in a dialogue about their health concerns, experiences, and goals. By understanding the unique challenges and opportunities facing the community, Alexander and Pryor say programs and services can be better tailored to address the most pressing health issues. All community members are encouraged to complete the new Community Health Assessment online survey by the end of the month, Friday, May 31st. Alexander and Pryor note a town hall meeting about the Community Health Assessment Survey will be held Wednesday, September 11th. More information will be released later. To access the survey go to MercyOne Newton Medical Center’s Facebook page, Jasper County Health Department’s Facebook page, or Jasper County’s website.  Alexander and Pryor say all responses are confidential, and the survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete.
