EMMET COUNTY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — A man has died after suffering a gunshot wound outside Armstrong, according to the Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The Emmet County Communications Center received a 911 call at 6:20 a.m. on May 31, a release states. The call reported shots being fired in the 5400 block of 120th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a man, whose name was not provided, with one gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.
An investigation is still ongoing. Authorities said there there is no danger to the public.
