A man shot last week in Battle Creek has died.
According to Ida County Sheriff Wade Harriman, 53-year-old Kevin Blume died after being shot last Friday, May 24th. The shooting occurred at approximately 11:15 that morning in the 300 block of East 5th Street in Battle Creek. Authorities found Blume suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to a MercyOne Siouxland Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.
Blume died at the hospital on Tuesday. As of this (Fri) evening, no one has been charged in the shooting, and no other details have been released.
Blume’s funeral service will be next Thursday, June 6th at 2pm at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home.
