WASHINGTON (Iowa Media Wire) — On Friday, President Biden approved a major disaster declaration for Iowa, the second in the past two weeks.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said federal disaster assistance is available to areas that were affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding on Monday and Tuesday.
FEMA said they will begin canvassing neighborhoods in Greenville, Iowa to help survivors after a tornado that went through the town,
killing five people and injuring 35 others.This is the second disaster declaration this month that Biden has approved for Iowa, coming after tornadoes went through the state earlier in May.
