SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The annual summertime tradition is back as the Mardi Gras Parade returns for its 30th anniversary.
According to a release, the parade will take place in Downtown Sioux City on Friday, July 5. The free event kicks off at 6 p.m. and will begin at the Tyson Events Center.
The release states that the parade will take a left out of Tyson’s parking lot onto Pierce Street and continue north. The route will then turn right onto 3 Street and end on Iowa Street.
As usual, the event is family-friendly and free for everyone. Tens of thousands of beads will be thrown into the crowds, according to the release.

The release noted that the celebration will just include the Mardi Gras Parade as organizers welcome the annual Saturday in the Park festival on Saturday, July 6.
