
DES MOINES, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) has revealed all 68 nominees for the Coolest Thing Made in Iowa, including 11 from Siouxland.
Every nominee is now up for first-round voting from April 22 to April 30. The nominees will then be pared down to a “Sweet 16” bracket. After five rounds of voting, the winner will be announced on June 5.
/>The competition looks to highlight Iowa’s manufacturing industry, according to a release.
“Manufacturers employ nearly 225,000 Iowans and produce incredible products that
are distributed locally, nationally and globally,” ABI President Mike Ralston said.
“This is another opportunity to showcase their work and draw attention to what
happens right here in our backyard.”
